This study evaluated whether Teran and Mota’s (2023) digital inclusion framework could improve the usability of mobile payment systems for users with limited literacy. To investigate this, a two-phase usability evaluation was conducted using a high-fidelity prototype based on a modified version of the Lloyds Bank mobile application, designed to reproduce some of the barriers associated with functional illiteracy by making textual information unreadable.
